CIP4 is a system which integrates the Pre-Press, Press and Post-Press functions. The implementation of CIP4 significantly improves the production efficiency on the press as the ink zone setting is automated through pre-press data, resulting in reduced paper wastage as well. The cutting and folding information produced, when passed to post-press devices, almost eliminates their set-up time.

The Komori Management System (KMS) offers a centralized control of production on the press. It provides a real time view of operations on the press as well as facilitates to store the ink zone set-up and job data with respect to paper, size, GSM, quantity printed, and ink used. All this ensures that a particular job when reproduced is always an exact match to its previous print run.

The Semi Auto Plate Changing (SAPC) mechanism helps in significantly reducing the set-up time for a new job with the changing of four plates taking less than four minutes. The plates being pre-punched and the process being almost entirely automated, the first sheet out is always close to the registered one, thus further reducing paper wastage.

This automated colour measuring system from X-rite ensures accurate and consistent colour output on the press. This scanner densitometer scans the printed sheet and displays the results on-screen within seconds so that the operator can quickly make adjustments to achieve the standardized density faster. With this system, our customers are assured that the output is always as per their input files.
